Shipping and Terms

The following terms apply to all sessions, memberships, and products purchased through Vitalis Light. By booking a session, purchasing a product or membership, or otherwise using this website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing this website, booking a session, purchasing a product or membership, or otherwise engaging with Vitalis Light, you agree to be bound by these Shipping and Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Ethics and Professional Standards published on this website. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use this website or purchase any offering.

These terms may be updated periodically. The most current version will always be available on this page, and the Effective Date above will reflect the date of the most recent update. Continued use of this website or purchase of any offering following an update constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Reiki Disclaimer

Reiki is a complementary energy practice intended to support relaxation, emotional balance, and overall well-being. Reiki sessions and Reiki-infused products offered through Vitalis Light are not a substitute for veterinary care, medical treatment, psychological counseling, or professional training.

No diagnosis, treatment, prescription, or cure of any physical, emotional, or behavioral condition is offered, claimed, or implied. No outcome is guaranteed. Each animal and each guardian responds in their own way, and the experience of every session is individual.

Guardians are responsible for seeking appropriate veterinary or medical care for any health concern involving their animals or themselves. Reiki is offered as a supportive practice that may accompany, but never replace, qualified professional care.

Sessions

All sessions are conducted by Vitalis Light through Zoom or, in the case of Photo Based Sessions, through focused Reiki held with submitted photographs. Session times are scheduled at the time of purchase and confirmed by email.

Rescheduling. Sessions may be rescheduled with at least twenty-four (24) hours notice prior to the scheduled session time. Rescheduling requests made less than twenty-four (24) hours in advance will be accommodated when possible, but cannot be guaranteed.

No-show policy. If a client does not attend a scheduled live session and has not provided at least twenty-four (24) hours notice, the session is considered delivered and is non-refundable. One courtesy reschedule may be offered at the sole discretion of Vitalis Light in cases of genuine emergency.

Late arrival. Sessions begin and end at their scheduled times. Sessions cannot be extended to accommodate late arrivals, and any remaining time will be used for the session as scheduled.

Travel Support packages. Travel Connection Sessions and related Travel Support packages are scheduled across the duration of a client's trip. Trip start and end dates are required at the time of purchase. Once a Travel Support package has begun, it cannot be cancelled or refunded.

Session recordings. Vitalis Light does not record sessions. Clients are asked to refrain from recording sessions without prior written consent in order to preserve the confidentiality and integrity of the practice.

Memberships

Vitalis Light offers an annual membership, described in detail on the Membership page.

Annual membership. Annual membership is paid in full at the time of enrollment and may be cancelled at any time. Upon cancellation, a prorated refund will be issued for any remaining unused months, calculated from the date of cancellation through the original membership end date.

Annual membership Companion Prism. Annual membership includes a complimentary Vitalis Light Companion Prism, prepared and Reiki-infused specifically for the member's animal at the time of enrollment. The Companion Prism is the property of the member and remains with them upon cancellation. Each prism is individually prepared and energetically infused for a specific animal, so it cannot be reassigned, returned, or transferred.

International shipping. Vitalis Light ships to Canada and Mexico. Shipping to other international destinations is not available at this time.

Customs and import duties. Customs fees, import duties, and any related taxes on international shipments are the responsibility of the recipient and vary by destination country. Please contact your local customs office for details before placing an order. Vitalis Light is not responsible for customs delays, refused shipments due to customs issues, or any direct, indirect, punitive, or consequential damages arising from international shipping.

Shipping responsibility. Risk of loss and title for all merchandise pass to the buyer when the merchandise is delivered to the shipping carrier. Vitalis Light is not responsible for items lost, damaged, or delayed in transit by the carrier, but will make reasonable efforts to assist in resolving carrier issues when notified promptly.

Processing time. Each product is individually prepared and Reiki-infused before shipping, which typically requires three to seven (3-7) business days from the date of order. Shipping times begin once the order has been prepared and handed off to the carrier.

Shipping address accuracy. Buyers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information at the time of purchase. Vitalis Light is not responsible for shipments delayed, lost, or returned due to incorrect or incomplete addresses provided by the buyer.

Refunds and Cancellations

Due to the personalized and energetically prepared nature of Vitalis Light offerings, all sales are generally final. This includes:

  • Reiki sessions of all types
  • Photo Based Reiki Sessions
  • Travel Support packages
  • Session bundles and packages
  • Reiki-infused products from the Vitalis Light Collection

Exceptions. Refunds will be issued in the following circumstances:

  • Damaged or defective products, as described in the Products section above
  • Annual membership cancellations, prorated for unused months as described in the Memberships section above
  • Sessions that cannot be delivered by Vitalis Light due to illness, technical failure, or other circumstances on the part of Vitalis Light. In such cases, the client may choose between rescheduling at no additional cost or receiving a full refund

Refund processing. Approved refunds are processed within seven to ten (7-10) business days to the original payment method.

Sales Tax

Vitalis Light is based in the State of Hawaii and complies with all applicable Hawaii General Excise Tax (GET) requirements. Applicable taxes will be calculated and applied at checkout based on the products purchased and the shipping destination.

Vitalis Light reserves the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, cancel orders, or decline future bookings at its sole discretion, including but not limited to circumstances where a client's conduct violates applicable law, threatens the safety or well-being of Vitalis Light or its representatives, or is otherwise harmful to the practice or its other clients.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The content of this website and all offerings provided through Vitalis Light are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vitalis Light disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including without limitation the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

No warranty is made regarding any specific outcome, result, healing, behavior change, emotional response, or experience from any Reiki session, Reiki-infused product, or other offering. Each individual responds differently, and no outcome is guaranteed, predicted, or promised.

Information on this website may contain inaccuracies or typographical errors. Pricing, availability, and product details may be changed or updated without notice. Reasonable efforts are made to ensure the accuracy of all content, but no warranty is provided regarding completeness or accuracy.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vitalis Light, Carrie K Kelley, and any affiliates, representatives, or service providers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill, personal injury, emotional distress, or any other intangible loss, arising out of or related to:

  • Any Reiki session, Reiki-infused product, or other service provided by Vitalis Light
  • Any decision made or action taken in reliance on information provided on this website or during any session
  • Any failure of Reiki or any Reiki-infused product to produce a specific outcome, result, or experience
  • Any veterinary, medical, behavioral, or other professional decision made by a client in connection with their animal
  • Any conduct or content of any third party referenced or linked from this website

In no event shall the total liability of Vitalis Light exceed the amount paid by the client for the specific session, product, or offering giving rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, the liability of Vitalis Light is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

Indemnification

By using this website or purchasing any offering, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Vitalis Light, Carrie K Kelley, and any affiliates, representatives, or service providers from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:

  • Your use of this website or any offering provided by Vitalis Light
  • Any violation of these Shipping and Terms by you
  • Any decision or action you take regarding the veterinary, medical, behavioral, or general care of your animal
  • Any injury, illness, behavioral change, or other outcome experienced by you, your animal, or any third party in connection with or following any session or use of any Vitalis Light product
  • Any third-party claim related to your conduct or your use of this website or its offerings

Professional Insurance

Vitalis Light operates under professional liability insurance through Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP). This coverage applies to the Reiki practice and related services. Certificate of insurance information is available upon written request for legitimate verification purposes.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Shipping and Terms, and any dispute arising out of or related to them, this website, or any offering provided by Vitalis Light, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Hawaii, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

Jurisdiction and venue. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the State of Hawaii, and the parties hereby consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of such courts.

Informal resolution. Before initiating any formal legal action, both parties agree to attempt to resolve any dispute through good-faith informal discussion. Concerns may be addressed by emailing info@vitalislight.com.

Waiver of jury trial. To the fullest extent permitted by law, both parties waive any right to a trial by jury in any legal action arising out of or related to these terms or any offering provided by Vitalis Light.

Severability

If any provision of these Shipping and Terms is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or if it cannot be made enforceable, severed from these terms. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These Shipping and Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Ethics and Professional Standards published on this website, constitute the entire agreement between you and Vitalis Light with respect to your use of this website and any offerings provided. These terms supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications, proposals, or agreements, whether electronic, oral, or written, between you and Vitalis Light. No modification of these terms shall be effective unless authorized in writing by Vitalis Light.

Void Where Prohibited

Although this website is accessible worldwide, not all offerings described on this website are available to all persons or in all geographic locations or jurisdictions. Vitalis Light reserves the right to limit the provision of any offering to any person, geographic area, or jurisdiction it chooses, and to limit the quantities of any product or service. Any offer made on this website is void where prohibited by law.
